A daily trip back through real stock history

The Daily Stock Time Machine opens a new trip every midnight, Korea time. Today's time machine might land at the end of 1987; you take $10,000 and ride forward through five back-to-back stretches, say to 1990, 1994 and 1999, toward the present. In each stretch you go all in on one of four real US-listed companies, split half and half across two, or sit it out in cash, and the result carries into the next stretch.

Where do the trips come from?

There is no fixed question bank. Trips are dealt from the date out of year-end adjusted prices (dividends reinvested, Yahoo Finance) for about 50 companies since 1970. Everyone who plays that day travels the same years with the same companies, so final fortunes compare directly.

The result screen also shows the perfect route and what splitting evenly every time would have made. Sharing leaves your final fortune and a row of 🟩🟨🟧🟥 (rank of an all-in pick), ✌️ (split) and 💵 (cash); friends who open your link take the same trip. Curious about one company?
